The heart behind

It all started with a bonnet. When I began Melanated Beauty, it felt unconventional—especially after losing a stable job right before COVID-19. Who would have thought I’d be making bonnets? Although I took a free sewing course (which I didn’t finish due to the demands of #momlife), that first experience sparked my creativity. The first bonnet I sewed was for my toddler, and little did I know that this small act would set the foundation for something much larger. Fast forward to today, Melanated Beauty has evolved into a celebration of beauty and self-care for moms and women of color.
